Raven Volcanic

size 9 MB / 10 MB

Raven Volcanic was inspired by design and tonal shaping capabilities of some modern boutique amplifiers.

Special thanks goes to Sean Redmond from the UK metal band Twisted Mentality for collaboration that inspired me to start working on the amp sim.

Vadim Taranov – Clang

VST — Thu, 07 Jan 2021 12:19:13 +0000

Clang

size 4 MB / 5 MB

Clang is a guitar amp simulation.

it is an old amp sim of mine and it was born when I was trying to get Fortin Natas tone bad but mistakenly thought it was Fortin Meathead, so Clang is an update for FourteenMH plug-in bringing some minor rework and adding new features: Stereo and HQ/LQ mode.

Stereo allows processing of both left and right channel inputs at the same time, but CPU load increases twice as much too. You might want to engage a low quality mode while working on your project to disable plug-in’s built-in oversampling but also decrease CPU consumption twice, e.g LQ/HQ mode is only useful in “stereo” mode.

Vadim Taranov – Peavey 5150 simulation

VST — Thu, 10 Dec 2020 20:55:02 +0000

Peavey 5150 simulation

size 14 MB / 16 MB

Heavy Lead 5150 is a Peavey 5150 simulation.

It already includes a power amp influence on the tone, but it’s not tweakable as there were no any references of tweaks, so post gain knob on the original amplifier was set at 3 while recording.

Vadim Taranov – MegaFuzzieMK4

VST — Fri, 27 Nov 2020 21:03:00 +0000

MegaFuzzieMK4

size 2.6 MB

MegaFuzzieMK4 simulates Mesa/Boogie Mark IV hi-gain channel, but with some changes.

Bass, Mid, Treble, Presence and Depth are now acting like an equalizer after distortion, so to shape your signal before it gets distorted use LF and HF gain (low frequency and high frequency gain respectively).

Vadim Taranov – Cab Driver

VST — Wed, 25 Nov 2020 16:21:25 +0000

Cab Driver

size 6 MB / 8 MB

Cab Driver is a tube power amp and cabinet coupling simulator.

In this case the power amp of ENGL Powerball and ENGL 4×12 cab were used as a reference.

Put this plugin after a preamp or a power amp simulator but before a cabinet simulator e.g. any impulse response based convolver like Ignite Amps NadIR and other.

No difference will you put this plug after a preamp sim by alone or a preamp sim with power amp sim. The goal of this plugin is not to simulate a tube power amp, but to simulate coupling effect between a tube power amp and any cabinet.

VST — Thu, 19 Nov 2020 19:53:35 +0000

Jump

size 10 MB / 12 MB

Jump is tries to replicate Tomato tone beyond its original capabilities that was originally designed by Igor Shaev.

The reference tone was retrieved by reamping a special DI through the amplifier schematics. Then, the computer model was configured in such a way to make it sound close to the model.

Vadim Taranov – DoubleTracker

VST — Wed, 18 Nov 2020 20:37:46 +0000

DoubleTracker

size 3 MB / 4 MB

DoubleTracker is a guitar doubler.

It is faking double track in real-time without any latency. The processing is based on dynamic phase manipulation, harmonics handling and changing delay times.

Usage: put before an amp sim or any other distortion pedal. This also can be used on cleans but its true purpose is to provide user with tone similar to such condition if there were two guitars played for hi-gain.

Timing: determines the coefficient that regulates the random number delay time.
Push: determines dynamic group delay length, right side – more refraction.
Sensitivity: the higher, the more weaker played notes the beat detector will catch.
