Sound Engine Free does not offer as many features as some of the other audio editors available, most notably lacking VST support so it is not easily expandable with the large number of free plugins available. However, it is a very robust and stable program that does all the basics of recording, cutting and pasting audio very well and quite quickly. It also does feature the standard effects built in and can batch process volume adjustment automatically which can be useful.
