Have you heard about Oxid yet? this is a new plugin that brings back the iconic ARP Omni-2 from the 70s – but without the crazy price tag or maintenance headaches of actual vintage gear!

I’ve been playing with it for a bit and wow – it really nails that warm, lush ARP sound we all love.You get both the String and Synth sections, and they’ve cranked the polyphony up to 64 voices so you can create these massive, complex soundscapes that would make the original hardware smoke!

What’s really cool is they didn’t just stop at making a perfect copy – they threw in some super useful modern stuff like Phaser and Delay effects.The interface is nice and resizable too (unless you’re using the “N” version for some reason).

It runs on both Windows and Mac, with pretty much every plugin format you’d need. They built it using C++ so it won’t eat up your CPU – always a plus when you’re stacking synths in a project!
