EAS Audio – TapeStop

TapeStop

size 2 MB

TapeStop emulates the warping effect that occurs when stopping a reel-to-reel tape machine while playing.

Stopping the “virtual tape” will progressively slow the affected track down to a complete halt, while starting the virtual tape again will accelerate the playback up to normal speed.

Unlike a physical tape machine though, TapeStop ensures that, once restarted, the affected track remains aligned with the rest of the project, as if it had never been stopped.

Start and stop times are adjustable up to 2 seconds and can “snap” to (fractions of) the beat allowing for simple and precise automation control.
