The CCMkI is a VST3/AU compressor inspired by the legendary 1176. It’s designed to deliver punchy, high-quality compression with a simple, intuitive interface and built-in input saturation for added warmth.

This plugin is based on Erick Tarr’s compression algorithm, enhanced with a biquad filter and exponential saturation for rich tonal shaping. The minimalist GUI provides six essential controls:

🎛️ Parameters Explained

🔹 Input: Adjusts the pre-processing signal level, introducing saturation at higher levels.
🔹 Ratio: Determines how aggressively the signal is compressed. Special multi-ratio modes unlock unique compression characteristics.
🔹 Threshold: Sets the level at which compression begins. Higher settings apply input saturation without attenuation.
🔹 Attack: Controls how quickly compression engages. Ranges from 20µs (Fast) to 800µs (Slow).
🔹 Release: Adjusts how fast the compressor recovers. Ranges from 50ms (Fast) to 1.1s (Slow).
🔹 Output: Balances the final signal level after compression.

🎚️ Presets

🔸 Sudaka – Hard limiter with a slow attack and fast release for punchy transients. Perfect for drums and room mics.
🔸 Orangine – Heavy compression with a mid/fast attack & release, suitable for general mixing.
🔸 Colour – Adds harmonic saturation with light compression. Great for warming up instruments.
🔸 Glue – Moderate compression designed to blend instruments together on a mix bus.
