Blue Lue is a style slot driven drum maching which performs as midi tool sequencer that makes no sound but powers your favorive drums vsti in the DAW through midi routing \ linking.
The concept
Blue Lue is “general midi” compliant tool, which means it’s fitted to use GM drum mapping drumsets. It takes inspiration from our Betelgeuse arranger machine and use 3 styles slots that run together back to back and can allow users to roam a cross all their variations at the same loaded set. Each set contains 3 styles and each style contains 8 possible variations.
Blue Lue provides 880 pre-made drum styles covering almost any musical genre from rock to latin. It allows syncing them to the host tempo and play each of them in regular \ x2 \ 1\2 speed. It also equipped with “tap tempo” feature and free hand BPM.
Technic
Blue Lue divides the keyboard into 2 ranges:
Style playing range (note 12-35)
Drumkit playing range (note 36 – 84)
Each range can be controlled with both hardware keyboard \ controller and the virtual UI one. The user then can isntantly jump from one variation to another, which is very useful in live jams and composing sessions. Blue Lue has also a “favorites” page which allow users to save their own favorite saved sets for easy calling by a single button. The favorite list can be saved to a file, called as a preset and also midi learend (by right mouse click) for use with midi keyboard or controller.
