FILTRONIX - README for Windows

Thank you very much for downloading FILTRONIX.

FILTRONIX is a ZDF (Zero-Delay Feedback) circuit-modeling filter plugin that mathematically recreates the behavior of analog synthesizer filter circuits.

1. Overview

FILTRONIX is a filter plugin that combines the character of multiple classic analog filter circuits in a single interface.

Using advanced DSP processing, it recreates the physical behavior, saturation, resonance,
and self-oscillation characteristics of real analog components inside your DAW.

2. System Requirements

Supported OS:
Windows 10 / 11 (64-bit)

Supported Format:
VST3

Recommended System:
Intel Core i5 or higher, or an equivalent AMD processor is recommended.
Because FILTRONIX performs high-precision DSP processing internally,
CPU usage may be higher on older PCs.

3. Installation

If the distributed file is in ZIP format, first extract the ZIP file.

After extraction, copy the FILTRONIX VST3 file to the following VST3 folder:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3

After copying the file, launch your DAW.
If your DAW was running during installation, quit it completely and restart it.

If necessary, rescan VST3 plugins from your DAW's plugin manager,
then select FILTRONIX under the manufacturer name “Push and Groove.”

4. Windows Security / Unblocking the Plugin

Windows security features may block plugin files downloaded from the internet,
which can prevent them from being loaded correctly by your DAW.

If FILTRONIX is not recognized by your DAW, please check the following:

1. Right-click the installed FILTRONIX VST3 file.

2. Select “Properties.”

3. At the bottom of the “General” tab, if you see a message such as:
“Security: This file came from another computer and might be blocked...”
check “Unblock” or “Allow,” then click “OK.”

Note:
If the “Unblock” option is not displayed, this step is not necessary.

5. If the Plugin Is Not Recognized

If FILTRONIX does not appear in your DAW after installation, please check the following:

1. Quit your DAW completely and restart it.

2. Rescan VST3 plugins from your DAW's plugin manager.

3. Make sure your DAW supports 64-bit VST3 plugins.

4. Confirm that FILTRONIX is installed in the following folder:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3

5. Check whether Windows requires the plugin file to be unblocked.

6. Restart Windows, then launch your DAW again.

6. Rescanning Plugins

VST3 plugins may be cached by your DAW.
If FILTRONIX does not appear after installation,
quit your DAW completely and restart it.

If it still does not appear, rescan VST3 plugins from your DAW's plugin manager.

7. Filter Model Descriptions

M-Filter:
A model with the character of a ladder-style filter.
It features resonance-dependent low-end behavior and a sharp, smooth tone.

S-Filter:
A model with the character of an SEM SVF-style filter.
It features smooth filter movement and a powerful response near self-oscillation.

P-Filter:
A model with the character of an OTA cascade-style filter.
It is designed to maintain a thick and punchy texture.

W-Filter:
A model with the character of a Wasp CMOS-style circuit.
It features unstable, edgy, and aggressive self-oscillation behavior.

8. Important Notes

Volume:
When resonance is set high, very strong self-oscillation may occur.
To protect your speakers and ears, insert a limiter after the plugin
or begin adjusting from a low volume level.

CPU Usage:
FILTRONIX performs high-precision DSP processing internally.
As a result, it may use more CPU resources than typical filter plugins.

If the Plugin Is Not Recognized:
Please check your DAW's VST3 support, the plugin installation location,
and your plugin rescan settings.
