FILTRONIX - README for macOS

Thank you very much for downloading FILTRONIX.

FILTRONIX is a ZDF (Zero-Delay Feedback) circuit-modeling filter plugin that mathematically recreates the behavior of analog synthesizer filter circuits.

1. Overview

FILTRONIX is a filter plugin that combines the character of multiple classic analog filter circuits in a single interface.

Using advanced DSP processing, it recreates the physical behavior, saturation, resonance, and self-oscillation characteristics of real analog components inside your DAW.

2. System Requirements

Supported OS:
Intel Mac: Tested and confirmed working on macOS 10.15 Catalina
Apple Silicon Mac: macOS 11 or later

Supported CPU:
Apple Silicon Mac / Intel Mac

Supported Formats:
AU / VST3

Recommended System:
Intel Core i5 or higher, Apple M1 or higher, or an equivalent or better CPU is recommended.
Because FILTRONIX performs high-precision DSP processing internally, CPU usage may be higher on older Macs.

3. Installation

If the distributed file is in ZIP format, first extract the ZIP file.

After extraction, double-click the FILTRONIX DMG file to open it,
then double-click the FILTRONIX installer (.pkg) inside the disk image.

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

After installation, launch your DAW.
If your DAW was running during installation, quit it completely and restart it.

If necessary, rescan your plugins from your DAW's plugin manager,
then select FILTRONIX under the manufacturer name “Push and Groove.”

4. macOS Security / Apple Notarization

This macOS version of FILTRONIX is distributed as a package that has been signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple.

When opening a file downloaded from the internet for the first time,
macOS may display a standard confirmation dialog.
If this appears, review the message and continue the installation using the normal procedure.

5. If the Plugin Is Not Recognized

If FILTRONIX does not appear in your DAW after installation, please check the following:

1. Quit your DAW completely and restart it.

2. Rescan the plugin from your DAW's plugin manager.

3. Make sure your DAW supports AU or VST3 plugins.

4. Restart macOS, then launch your DAW again.

If FILTRONIX is not recognized in an AU-compatible DAW such as Logic Pro, GarageBand, or MainStage,
rescan the plugin or run AU validation again from the DAW's plugin manager.

6. Rescanning Plugins

AU / VST3 plugins may be cached by your DAW or by macOS.
If FILTRONIX does not appear after installation, quit your DAW completely and restart it.

If it still does not appear, rescan the plugin from your DAW's plugin manager.

For Logic Pro:
Open “Logic Pro” → “Settings” → “Plugin Manager,”
then rescan FILTRONIX or run AU validation again.

7. Filter Model Descriptions

M-Filter:
A model with the character of a ladder-style filter.
It features resonance-dependent low-end behavior and a sharp, smooth tone.

S-Filter:
A model with the character of an SEM SVF-style filter.
It features smooth filter movement and a powerful response near self-oscillation.

P-Filter:
A model with the character of an OTA cascade-style filter.
It is designed to maintain a thick and punchy texture.

W-Filter:
A model with the character of a Wasp CMOS-style circuit.
It features unstable, edgy, and aggressive self-oscillation behavior.

8. Important Notes

Volume:
When resonance is set high, very strong self-oscillation may occur.
To protect your speakers and ears, insert a limiter after the plugin or begin adjusting from a low volume level.

CPU Usage:
FILTRONIX performs high-precision DSP processing internally.
As a result, it may use more CPU resources than typical filter plugins.

If the Plugin Is Not Recognized:
Please check your DAW's AU / VST3 support and plugin rescan settings.
